- I can carry out a phone call without constantly saying "pardon?". I know that was horribly annoying and I'd still like to keep improving.
- I no longer look like I am watching a rapid tennis match before I step off every curb to cross the street. Funny how it is much more difficult to get used to cars on the opposite of the road when you are walking rather than driving.
- I feel comfortable saying "aye". It sounded so unnatural for me to say at first.
- I don't look like a deer in headlights when I am trying to figure out what train to catch at Glasgow Central.
- I have not used a dryer since I moved.
I have always felt comfortable here and that has not changed. It definitely has its similarities to the Pacific Northwest. People constantly apologize about the weather in both places. The thing is, I love the weather.
Although I have one very important question. Why are the punctuation keys in different places? I had completely forgotten this (I brought my computer from the states) until I was in an interview and asked to create a small application in 3-4 hours. So there I was, sitting in a little room with a desk and computer, one wall was glass so people milling around the break area could see in, laughing to myself and studying the keyboard trying to find out where the punctuation mark was hiding.

Bottom line: I am getting on well.
