Beinn Ime

Most weekends I find my way to the hills for a walk. The last few weeks I have had my eye on Beinn Ime, a munro in the Arrochar Alps. Last weekend I made an attempt. Very wet. Mist swirling about. Blowing. The combination of the mist, mud, and lack of clear trail caused me to make the decision to divert to Beinn Narnain, which I was familiar with after walking up it earlier in the month.

Here I am on the top of Beinn Narnain last weekend. I didn't see anything or anyone.

Today I walked up Beinn Ime. It is a hot, midgy climb until you get above the tree line and catch the breeze. As the slopes open up, you are surrounded by cotton grass dancing in the wind this time of year.

Beinn Ime...

The path up...

Tremendous views from the top. I watched the clouds float across the surrounding hills.

The clouds were in constant movement, creating an ever changing landscape and beautiful sky art.

Some friendly folk at the top treated me to a wee bit of whisky. Lovely day.
